Struggling to come up with your campaign ideas? Need something to boost your creativity? Here are the top tips for coming up with an effective, fun, and beneficial volunteering campaign.

  1. Focus on your strengths
Think about what you’re good at. Maybe you’re a fantastic cook, an amazing writer, or a phenomenal singer. Pick something you’re good at and find ways that you can use that to benefit others. For example, if you’re great at math and you are incredibly passionate about it, you can tutor younger students and help them get better. Or, maybe you’re a great piano player, and you can throw a small benefit concert to raise money. Also, if you pick something related to a topic you enjoy and are passionate about, the chances of you striving and working harder on your campaign are much higher.

  1. Help a cause you are closely connected to
Furthermore, you should try to pick a cause you can relate to. Take for example, our Care Packages for Heroes campaign. The volunteer who led it was incredibly passionate about helping veterans due to his prior experience with them. That is why his campaign was so hugely successful!

  1. See where you can help
Watch the news, read a recent article and see what’s going on the world. Who needs your help? What can you do to help them? A campaign relevant to today’s world and society will take off much easier and faster and will attract more potential volunteers and those looking to help.

  1. Look for inspiration
Lastly, it’s important to look at other campaigns and what other volunteers are doing. Maybe some projects will help give you an idea for what you might want to do and who you can help.

Hopefully this article helped to get you thinking of a great campaign idea that you will enjoy doing and can leave a lasting impact on society and our world. Happy volunteering!
