Problem:
America is home to many immigrants, and therefore, many first-generation immigrants. The problem is, children who grow up in the United States, often forget their origin and even their language. We believe that this is a very crucial part of your identity and who you are.
Solution:
Youth4Better started a campaign where our members help educate young first-generation immigrants and help them retain their language and culture through learning and studying their history, and their language. These events consist of reading stories, discussing traditions and culture, and some basic conversations in the child’s language.
Impact:
Throughout our events, we’ve impacted dozens of children to help them never forget who they are, where they came from, and what they represent. We try to help every child remember and understand what defines them, so that they can grow proud of themselves and their roots.
